This wonderful Alfa is unlike any other unrestored one I’ve ever seen for its age! From Gauteng Province (Transvaal), a dry state in SA, it really has aged amazingly! No rot or rust, good paint, lovely inside and just look at the condition of that engine bay!

I have just spent £2,860 at Alfa Aid in Maidenhead, a leading specialist, getting lots done to make this car great again. This includes a new propshaft, hubs, brakes, lines & leads, one new (refurbished) carb, the other overhauled, switches, seals, interior bits, the list goes on. Before that, I had a new gearbox bellhousing fitted, ring gear, clutch slave and a complete top end refurb/ reseal.

The downsides? Occasional crunch into 2nd gear at times when cold and the choke cable is missing, but it doesn’t need it, even in the cold, so I didn’t address that. The paint is good, but not perfect.

Above all though, I’m pretty sure you won’t find another in anywhere near this condition for even close to the price! Overall I’ve spent £9,420 on this car, so I know I’ll be losing out, but I need to sell it as I have six cars and need to get down to five, and this was only ever supposed to be an import project.
